Fire Extinguishers can save lives – Get protected.

Extinguishers are provided for use by suitably trained people to use on early stage/small fires or to aid means of escape.

All extinguishers are BSi kitemarked to BSEN3 and CE Approved and have a 5 year manufacturers warranty.  An initial service will be carried out and a certificate issued by a BAFE approved Engineer.  An annual Maintenance contract will be established to BS5306 part 3 which is also performed by a BAFE approved engineer. A certificate of inspection is also provided on completion of the annual service.

Special care needs to be taken to ensure all extinguishers are fixed to the wall correctly with the correct signage or mounted on fire extinguisher stands.

Monthly checks need to be carried out on extinguishers to check they are stored correctly, have not lost pressure or been tampered with and recorded in a fire log book.
